Sugar Plum Fairy Tea and Christmas Choir Show

Sundays in December are simply not a day of rest.  

And that's OK sometimes!  Especially when we get to see two fabulous shows. 

Fancy days call for fancy hair.
Cami requested that I "tangle" her hair, so I obliged with the curling iron. 

We arrived at the Westin Stonebriar ballroom a little early and were serenaded by carolers.

These adorable girls were guarding the entrance doors, but assured us the show would be worth the wait.  Everyone was giddy with anticipation.

Both of my sweet girls fell asleep on the drive to the tea, and it took a bit for the youngest to wake up all the way.  

By the time we found our assigned table, and Cami climbed up in her seat, she was ready for her first official Tea Party.  So cute.

Mandy and I were very impressed with our four girls and how lady-like they were all being.  Yay!

Our afternoon began with a Ballerina Parade...

and then the girls got to meet many of them at our table!
They visited with the performers, got their autographs...

and took pictures with them, too.

This was one of the soloist in the Nutcracker--she was really sweet to Lila.

After serving us all hot chocolate, the waiters brought out tiny sandwiches.  This girl was a big fan!

Story time was next and the Grandmother invited all of the children to join her onstage.

If you look closely, you can see an arm around Cameron's waist.  She was sitting in her big sister's lap for the story.  Nothing makes me happier than seeing my children's love for one another!

After the story, it was time for 6 short performances from the Nutcracker Ballet.

After the show was over, they served dessert and more ballerinas walked around for another meet-and-greet.  We complemented them on a job well done!

At the very end, we finally got to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy!
It was the perfect way to end our first experience at this very special Tea Party.

Doing girly things with my girly girls is one of the best things about having daughters.  

An hour later, we were across town and ready to watch Memaw sing.  First Baptist has their Christmas Choir Show every year and we love to see her in it.  They show was wonderful, as usual!

Maddie and Gigi joined us, too.  I know I'm biased, but they are all so beautiful!

Love this tradition with the Hays Fam.  Christmas is almost here.  I can feel it!
