Christmas Parties

'Tis the season for Christmas parties!
I enjoyed a rare night out with my best girlfriends last week at Urban Crust.
Cheers to no kids!

Good food, better friends and then an ornament exchange.  The perfect recipe for a fantastic night.

Between the 8 of us, we have 20 kids.  And today April is having her third, bringing us to #21!
No wonder we enjoy an adult night every now and then.

A couple days later, it was Cameron's turn.  We may have fought before she went to school that day over her desire to wear the Frosty dress (again), but cooler heads prevailed, and she wore a different dress.  Yay!  By the time I arrived for her party, she was all smiles and in the best mood.

My strong-willed girl is growing up!  She still loves to snuggle, though.

She had some treats with her classmates...

showed me her latest craft project--Rudolph!--

then gave Mrs. Ward her gift.  Success!
She told her, "I'll see you next year!" and we were out of there.

Friday morning we were at the big kids' school bright and early.  The first graders started their party at 9:30 am.  We got there in time to see Lila's marshmallow snowman.
She made an ornament and played a game, too.

All of the kids were SO happy--Christmas break!

A few minutes later, we were down in the 4th grade hallway.
Jackson made a chocolate reindeer and got to eat it--yum!

He gave his teachers their gifts.
Mrs. Gorski thought the cat book he picked out for her was hilarious.
Mrs. Fulbright loved her Christmas Reese's Pieces and her Favorite Teacher ornament.
He adores her and wanted her to feel the love!

We capped off the night with a sighting of Santa on the back of the Murphy Firetruck.  They came all the way down our street and threw out candy to the kids.
Love our town!
