Dirt Cheap TV!
We recently got a new T.V. for our living room. This means our other television is looking for a new home now. It's in perfect condition, we just don't have room for it anywhere else in our house. So, my friends, for only $150 this could be a great addition to your home!

Weekend of Fun
Jackson had a really good weekend and wanted me to share some of the highlights. It all began on Friday night when he got to spend the night with two of his favorite people, Gigi & Boom. After a good night's sleep, our little guy was ready for some action.
After a hard workout, every athlete knows a good stretch is a must.
That same afternoon, we went to a birthday party for Hunter. It was at Bounce Town and I thought that Jackson would not want to really participate since he's always been scared of those things. Boy, was I sure wrong! He loved it!

Day on the Farm
It was such a pretty day that we decided to pack up the kids and head on out to the farm. We went to visit Papaw and Granny who live in Greenville and had the perfect afternoon. Jackson was in heaven with all the animals and other cool things they have there.
Checking out the backyard
Petting the donkeys, Mama Rosy and Baby Butterscotch.
Feeding the cows. Jackson wanted to pet the "baby cows" so bad, but they were a little skittish and never let us get too close.
Driving the tractor--a big fave of the day!
Climbing the ladder to work on the tractor. Turns out he needed his hammer, which was in Garland. He'll sure remember to take all his tools with him next time, though.
Playing on the see-saw with Ms. Andi.
Chasing the big chickens around the yard. There were also a lot of baby chicks, but they didn't want to get too close to us, either. Arghh! Noticing a pattern?

Mama's Big Helper
Dinner time has become so much easier now that I have a trusty little assistant. No longer does my assistant do things to sabotage this time of night (like pulling out EVERY single pan we own to create a booby trapped kitchen!) but now he actually helps me. That's right, Jackson really does help me. Amazing, I know.

Bring on the yard work!
Yesterday was such a pretty day, so we all decided to do some much needed yard work. First we went to Lowes and got all our supplies, then we tackled the weeds, planted new flowers and really improved our yard. I feel so much better now:)
Jackson even got his own gardening gloves! He was a terrific helper and exceled at tasks such as throwing weeds in the trash can and watering the new flowers.

Hooray for Friday!
Today has just been one of those really great days. It all started off with us meeting some friends at the park. It was 75 degrees out, so we both got to wear shorts and sandals.
Other reasons why I love today so much:
1. Jackson is taking a nap for the first time ALL week. Hallelujah!
2. PEOPLE magazine came in the mail (one of the reasons I love Fridays and am so disappointed if it doesn't get here until Saturday)
3. Our ski pictures came in the mail, too, and since Jackson's sleeping I got to put them in an album, frames, etc.
I am so happy this afternoon. Hopefully all of you have a great day, too:)

Self-sufficient? Kind of...
Jackson was eating his pears this afternoon and decided to put on his bib.

Steamboat Ski Trip
Jared and I just got back from an awesome ski trip to Steamboat, Colorado. We went with our good friends, Hayley and Adam, and everyone had a really good time. Here are a few highlights from the trip.
On the slopes the second morning--it snowed the first two days we were there, which made for some super chilly skiing in the mornings.
Getting ready to go snowmobiling...such a fun time!
During our snowmobile trip we got to go through lots of trails, stopped at an open meadow and then the guide took us up to Rabbit Ears Pass.
The view really was incredible.
On our way to dinner the last night. We had such good food the entire trip, but the last night we went to a great steakhouse and got the whole kit and kaboodle. My favorite part might have been the cinnamon rolls that came with the meal--genius idea:)
Jackson also had a wonderful week and got to spend lots of time with his grandparents. Jared and I cannot wait until we get to teach him how to ski. Hopefully he'll be a little ski bunny in only a few more years.
Now since we are all nearing 30, skiing isn't quite as easy on the muscles as it used to be. I do have to say that the guys took it the hardest, though! They both just laid down on the mountain and took a break.
