It's warming up and summer is knocking on the door. How do we know?!
Instead of staying home to do homework, our friends came to watch Lila's softball game. Brooklyn, Finley and Matthew were such a fun surprise, along with their sweet mama! |
| Lila's slowing getting better at hitting--she even made it to third base and got to score on Saturday! |
| Summer is also near when the parents take over lunch and recess duty for the hardworking 1st grade teachers. God bless those teachers! Keeping up with 100 first graders, and trying to smile the whole time, is not for the faint of heart. That's some exhausting work right there. |
Summer also means more baseball tournaments, and we've definitely had plenty of those lately. We're in the middle of a three weekend stretch, and The Fury has had the 8 am game for the majority of both weekends. Thank goodness he's got some great fans! These girls were really great this past weekend, even watching his games and cheering for his team. Of course, it always helps when Bubba pitches a good game and leads his team to a win!
| When the Kona Ice truck comes to the baseball fields, you know summer is near. |
| And when Sunday afternoon looks like this, it's just got to be close. |
I can see a whole lot of this going on in our backyard this summer. Kids laughing, running around in swimsuits and plenty of good times with the water hose!
Soccer ended a few weeks ago and football is almost over. We decided to say no to basketball, indoor soccer and flag football. All that we will have is a few more baseball tournaments. I can't wait. We are going to kick back and enjoy ourselves. You can find us in our pool or at the lake. It's going to be awesome. |
