We all slept really well, including Cami, on our first night in Disney World. Thank goodness! The girls awoke with smiles on their faces because this was the day for them to be transformed into real princesses! They wore their beautiful gowns and hopped in the double stroller for the royal treatment. Ha! If only it were really that easy.
| We rode the ferry over to Magic Kingdom... |
| and by the time we got there at 10am it was already pretty steamy. And the princess gowns were starting to get itchy. |
| We headed to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train because we had a fast pass for this ride. On the way there, Lila's feet gave out due to wearing high heels--oh, the perils of being such a fancy pants--so I had to carry her. Her brother had insisted it was his turn to ride in the stroller, I guess. As you can see, even the baby was sweating, but she sure did rock those Minnie mouse ears:) |
| Notice this is not a picture of the Mine Train--nope, when we got there, we were told it was temporarily closed because a fire alarm had just gone off. Oops! So, we ran around and found the Little Mermaid ride. |
| And it was so cute! We saw Ariel and Flounder... |
| and got to ride inside these pink seashells. |
| We went under da sea... |
| and this pretty princess was very grateful for the cool down. |
| We saw the mean sea witch, Ursula... |
| and the powerful King Triton, too. |
| We even got to see Ariel marry Prince Eric at the end! |
| After that, the girls insisted on a wardrobe change, so we found a restroom at Gaston's. |
| The boys set off to ride some roller coasters and us girls stumbled upon the funniest duo, Sir Sterling and his assistant. He took questions from the kids and had a great English accent. He said, "Madison, what is your question?" She said, "why is cake so delicious?" Sir Sterling said, "what a great question--I should know and patted his belly! If cake weren't so delicious, then people wouldn't eat it!" |
| After our chit chat with Sir Sterling, we walked over to the castle. It really is so much prettier than I imagined it would be. |
| We waited for a bit, I got the pleasure of breastfeeding in the lobby of the BBB with young boys near me, but then they called for Princess Madison and Princess Lila. |
| They both chose to have their hair done in princess buns (we didn't really give them the Popstar option (colored hair extentions) or Disney Diva (blonde extentions out of the bun) thank goodness! |
| Then their Fairy Godmother let them choose their make-up colors. Maddie went bright... |
| while Lila picked light blue to match her dress. |
| Then they both got their nails painted--again, Lila chose blue and Maddie went with pink. |
After that, they got sprinkled with glitter from this cool wand.
Bippidi, Boppidi, Boo! |
| Tada! The princess transformation was complete! Presenting Belle... |
| and Cinderella!! |
| Those dimples are to die for! |
| This little lady cannot wait for us to return one day so that she can do it, too. |
| I bet this big sister will have no problem going back for a royal makeover with her sister. |
| She was in heaven! |
| Love these girls soooo much. |
| Soon after we were done, Daddy and Jackson met us at the castle. This was daddy's favorite part of the day--seeing his little girl all dressed up. She ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug. |
| J man was even impressed and told the girls they both looked pretty. |
They did look pretty fab!
Next up, meeting Anna and Elsa from Frozen!
And then, meeting all the princesses at dinner in the castle. It was a really big day:) |
