Feeling the Love

We began last Saturday with a monumental photo session.  It was time for Cameron's newborn photo shoot, and as if that were not challenging enough, we decided to include the whole fam as well.
I guess I just like a challenge!

For all of the sweat and tears, I am hoping that we got a few more shots that are as good as this one.

Except for the five minutes that Lila refused to come downstairs to take any pictures and the ten minutes I spent arguing with Jackson that his jeans were too short, these two big kids did pretty darn good.  Right after they were done, Jared offered to take them to lunch.  Cameron and I still had plenty of work left to do, as we had not gotten to take any of her pictures yet.  Nothing can be easy when you need it to be, so of course, they were not cooperating.  Lila refused to change out of her smocked dress and Jackson hung his head in sadness at Jared's idea to go to Raising Cane's instead of Firehouse Subs.  Oh, the drama!  Eventually, the boys set off for some chicken and whatdoyaknow--Jackson loved it.

By Sunday afternoon, Memaw was finally feeling better and came over to get in some good snuggle time with Cameron.

Baby girl was like a little rag doll and let everyone have a turn holding her.  Aunt Maria was happy to be her pillow for a while.

On Monday, we were blessed with some more friendly visitors.  My friend, Heather, brought her two little girls, Kinsley and Caitlin, over for a visit.  They picked up Chick-Fil-A for everyone and even brought Cameron some sweet gifts, too.  So very nice!

Then on Tuesday afternoon Mandy brought her two girls over to see us.  Brooklynn and Lila had fun playing together and Finley enjoyed looking at Baby Cameron.  They brought us a delicious dinner of Mexican Lasagna and salad, but saved the best part for last...

a homemade cookie cake!  How cool is that?!  And it was just as yummy as it looked, too.  Oh, and they brought the baby a precious Owl blankie, too.  My goodness!  Thank you, Shubzda girls!

"Whew!  All these visits are exhausting!"

On Wednesday, the Pointer Fam came over for a visit.  Cameron had been napping in her bassinet since 1:00 and slept through their whole entire visit.  She didn't even wake up to see this precious gown they brought her, but she checked it out later.  I really enjoyed visiting with Taylor and Price and the kids had fun playing with their girls.  And they brought us a boat load of Cafe Max--genius!  We ate it for dinner that night, Jared took it for lunch the next day, I took it to Meme's for lunch when we went to visit her and then ate it again on Friday.

While Meme appreciated the Cafe Max lunch, the star attraction was definitely this sweet little lady.  They had some good chats before it was Cameron's lunch time:)

And somehow, we made it to Friday again!  We were so excited to see Jenny last night.  She visited with us girls for a couple hours and brought us homemade Baked Ziti, green beans, salad, rolls and some red wine for us to enjoy a little later.  Thanks, friend!

J man didn't get to try to Ziti, though, because he was too busy sitting FRONT ROW at the Mavs game!  This little lucky dog got invited by his good friend, Caleb, and was beyond excited about it.  Two older girls went with them, too.  Fancy!

He even got to hang out with the Mavs mascot, too!  Way, way cool.  And it was a really great game that the Mavs won.

I'd say our second week home was a big success.  We are so fortunate for all of our amazingly awesome friends--y'all have packed our fridge and filled our hearts with love.  Thank you!
