When Jared and I talked about what kind of pool we wanted to build, we based all of our decisions on what kind of pool would be best for our kids. We wanted it to be a place where they will bring their friends for many years to come. Our number one criteria? It must be FUN! This first full week of pool time has been so great. If you build it, they will come!
| On Monday, Tucker came over and hopped right into the deep end. |
| On Tuesday, Ryan came over and the boys played catch on the slide about 88 times. |
| I'd like to think I'm getting smarter--things work out so much better whenever J has a friend to play catch with! |
| Taylor brought her girls over on Tuesday also, so everyone had friends:) |
| Presley brought the party with her--she taught our kids about the greatness of chicken fights in the pool! |
| Teagan vs. Lila |
| Thank goodness Teagan took it easy on Lila. There were smiles all around. |
| On Wednesday, Maddie and Gigi came over before lunch. The big girls did lots of dives and practiced their swim strokes... |
| which must have inspired Cameron, because she was kicking like a little frog... |
| and zooming all around the pool with Gigi. |
| After lunch, the boys arrived. Ethan, Narit and RJ were all about some crazy times in the deep end. They did ninja kicks, flips and plenty of rides down the slide. |
| They even had enough boys to have a touch football game, too. Jackson's ideal day in life. |
Later that day, we went to Lindsey's new house in Lucas.
We enjoyed seeing lots of our friends and can't wait to have them over soon. |
| On Thursday afternoon we were back in the pool, though, with Amanda, Karlie, Cason and Chase. |
| Karlie played catch with the boys while Amanda and I got to visit... |
| and all the kids had fun playing together. We only get to see these boys a couple times a year--it sure would be awesome if they lived closer! |
| Cami girl had to wake up a little after her nap... |
| but pretty soon she was asking me to toss her up in the air and even let Jackson hold her for a sec. |
Lila's favorite part was getting to hang out with one of her all-time
favorite babysitters--Miss Karlie!
The pool truly is a game changer. We are so very happy to be home every day. |
