Turkey Time at School

Lila has waited at least three years to be able to have the Thanksgiving Feast at her school, and yesterday it finally happened! This is a privilege that only the oldest kids get to have, so it's special.

The kids all worked so hard last week, making their placemats, headbands, necklaces and vests.  They turned out so cute, too.

Keeping it real, the "tables" were on the floor, and we sat Indian Style for lunch.

Our feast was probably a little tastier than the Pilgrims was-- we had turkey, mashed taters, green bean casserole, cinnamon apples and cookies for dessert. Yum!  I was thankful that Gigi could keep Cami so that I could give this girl my full attention.

And both of us girls were thankful that Daddy could make it, too.

After lunch, the tables got cleaned up and the kids lined up for their performance.  They did three precious songs and Lila was all smiles.

Gettin' their Gobble on!  We can't wait for Turkey Day!
