Teacher Appreciation Week

We did it!  Another week of Teacher Appreciation is in the books!  So many parents helped make this a very successful week, and we got lots of support from local businesses, too.
A mom found this fab idea to do a Dr. Seuss themed week at the preschool.  We all loved it, so we just took it and ran.  The teachers got these adorable invitations in their boxes the week before...

and on Monday morning they were greeted by this Cat in the Hat!

Another mom is a professional photographer, and she had taken all of the staff's pictures a few weeks ago.  They got to choose their Dr. Seuss props.  I think they turned out really well!
We decorated their work room and it looked so festive:)

Monday was Hop On Popcorn day!

Uptown Popcorn gave us a little discount and we bought the teachers 4 different flavors.

The prettiest, but I heard it was very sweet!

The parents bought gift cards for the teachers and each teacher got to choose which one they wanted.

They also got a cupcake made by How Sweet It Is Bakeshop.  Yum!

Tuesday they came in hungry and ready for the Butter Battle Breakfast.  Parents signed up to bring items--breakfast casserole, Starbucks danishes and coffee (all dontated), fruit, donuts, cinnamon rolls and kolaches from The Kolache Factory.  It was a feast!

They also were treated to a personalized sugar cookie also made by How Sweet It Is.  They were adorable!
Wednesday morning they were treated to breakfast again--blueberry muffins, coffee cake, and cinnamon clusters and chicken minis all donated by Chick-Fil-A!

Another mom also had this amazing Dr. Seuss cake and cookies made for them. It was awesome!

Mrs. Fleck thought it was so cool that she even brought her class in to admire it:)

Thursday was the Whoo-Feast and they had some mighty good grub: Café Max Caesar and pasta salads, Jimmy John's sandwiches and Chick-Fil-A lemonade and tea.

A grandma with a baking business also made them iced fish cookies--so nice!

The Whoo-Dessert Bar was on Friday--about 10 parents brought all kinds of pies, cakes, cookies and brownies.  In addition to all of the food, the teachers all got a Christian book and won raffle prizes all week, ranging from $5 at Starbucks to $50 at The Loft and Barnes and Noble.  It was a fun week honoring the wonderful people who take care of our kids like their own.  We hope they felt the love this week!
