Friday was a big day for the kids. For the past two weeks, they have been raising money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. They collected $275 together and it is all going to help out very sick children. I was really proud of them. Their school has participated in this fundrasier for the past two years and raised over $10,000 for St. Jude's! I love that.
In celebration of their efforts, they got to participate in a trike-a-thon. They were so pumped when they got to bring their bikes to school that morning.
Madison's class went first and I went up there to cheer her on. She was a very conscientious rider and did great sticking close to the cones.
Her cute class all on their riding toys.
After all that hard work, these kids deserved a little dessert. Here's Maddie and her three best friends. They all enjoyed their frozen lemonades before heading back into school.
Jackson's class was next. He and his best buddy, Cole, were ready to ride!
The bigger kids zoomed around the track. There were a few falls and a few scraped knees, but mostly big smiles from all of them.
J's class after their racing time was over.
Little sister even came dressed in her workout clothes. She loved sitting down next to big brother. She told him that he did really good riding his big bike...
and then even got to enjoy a refreshing treat with him. What a great way to spend a Friday:)
