Florida!

We arrived in Shreveport at 11:30 the night before, checked into our room, and were gone again by 8:30 the next morning.  By 5:30 that afternoon, we made it to our condo on the beach.  It was beyond amazing!  The furnishings were gorgeous and we all felt like we were inside a magazine.

Our home for the next 7 days!

A few minutes later, we made our way downstairs and found these two lovely ladies.  Cami and Lila literally ran across the tennis courts to hug their cousins, as if they hadn't seen each other in years!

Ruth Chris was too stuffy inside, and too hot to sit outside, so we ventured down the beach to The Back Porch.  We went through the pool area and decided it was just about perfect.  There was a huge pool, baby pool and a big hot tub.  

A short while later, we arrived at one of our favorite beach restaurants.

A good dinner, a good sleep, and then we awoke to this view. Y'all.  This is pretty tough to beat.  
I just love it.  We had breakfast on our patio...

and then went over to the other condo to check out their view.  Not too shabby!

A little while later we finally made it to the white sandy beach.

The water was gorgeous!  So clear and so calm.  I was in heaven.

Lilly's first time at the beach.  Her smile says it all.  She was a big fan of her toes in the sand.

Turns out, if you take Lilly into the ocean and let her sit on the boogie board, she will get super sleepy and let the waves rock her to sleep.  Easiest baby ever.

Gigi worked on her tan while Lilly napped.

Jared made it down to the water to hang out with us.

Before lunch, Boom came down to the beach, too.

We decided to give the beachside bar and grill a try.  Sandwiches, wraps and burgers under a big umbrella, with this view?  Yes, please!

After lunch, Cami showed Lilly how fun playing in the sand can be...

and she took good notes.  Pretty sure she was even trying to go get some ocean water for her big bucket!

Cheers to a fantastic first day at the beach.  We even got to drink a Goombay Smash!

And we ended the night with a crab hunt.  Great success from start to finish.
