GHS Homecoming was so fun this year! It was mine and Jared's 20 year reunion the same weekend, so we had lots of Owl activities to keep us busy.
| Mom and I kicked it off by going to the pep rally on Friday afternoon. We took a walk down memory lane and found both of our bricks. |
| We took the three girls out of school early, too. They wore their best black and gold! |
| We even got out picture made with another former cheerleader and some of the current ones. |
| That evening, the weather just wasn't the best. It was raining and cold...so we decided to meet some GHS friends at Intrinsic, near the football stadium. |
| It was loud and a little crazy, but we enjoyed hanging out with these peeps and their kids. |
| How in the world has it been 20 years since we graduated from high school?! |
| The rain stopped after halftime, so we made it to the game. The poor Owls just aren't having the best year, though, and didn't get win. Bummer. |
| Saturday night was showtime for our reunion. |
| Jenny and I worked the entrance table, getting everyone a nametag, drink tickets and welcoming them to the reunion. |
| We ended up with a packed back room at Desperados. It was so great! |
| I enjoyed catching up with so many old friends... |
| and hanging with some of my very best friends, too. |
All five of us cheered together at Garland. I just love these girls. Somehow we pulled off a reunion in only a few short months. As busy as our lives are, that's a big feat! Thank goodness the next one won't be for at least five more years! |
