Merry Christmas!

When your oldest sets his alarm for 5:50, Christmas morning starts early!  Who could really blame the kid, though?  It's one day a year and they look forward to it for so long.

Santa came through for Jackson and brought him an archery set AND a hoverboard!  Oh my!

J waited until 6:30 to wake up Lila.  She was thrilled to see the American Boy Doll, Wheelies AND the Wild Thing!  This thing has got some zip--so fun.

Cami woke up around 7:00 and was thrilled to see that Santa had brought her two Bitty Babies, along with a double stroller AND a very real-looking golden retreiver puppy.  It even breathes and makes sounds.  I'm positive that Santa knows our family isn't quite ready for the real deal just yet.

Such a magical morning.

Stockings were next and Jared and I got to go first.

I love it that the kids enjoy their stocking treats just as much as the wrapped presents.  Dominoes, big candy, hatchimals and fingernail polish were among the little treats.

We opened our gifts for each other after that.  Jackson and Daddy had the two big ones. 
What could be in there??

After three weeks of wondering, Jackson was so happy to unwrap this baseball canvas for his room, that shows all the different pitches.

Jared was very pleased with his new art for his office.  His college friend has recently begun selling his photos, so the kids and I picked out some that we thought Jared would really like.  Our selections included the Charleston Pier, Grand Canyon, Italian Coastline and Hocking Hills, NC.

A few more gifts--a desk lamp from Jackson to Lila, snow boots from us to J and two "Cami" books that make her the main character in the story.

Since Lila and I were going on a girls trip, Daddy gave us matching travel bags.  We love them!

A few hours later, my parents and Madison arrived.  They were here just long enough to see my ugly Christmas sweater before Maddie threw up unexpectedly.  Needless to say, they had to leave right after brunch.  Bummer.

Jackson worked on his archery that afternoon while the girls and I took a nap.  It was fantastic.

That afternoon, we went to Christmas at Memaw and Poppi's house.  Uncle Andrew and Aunt Maria arrived shortly after we did.  Cami told them all about her gifts.

One of the most entertaining parts of the night was when Andrew and Scott tried to ride Jackson's hoverboard!

Let's just say, they aren't nearly as speedy as he is on it.

A little while later, a surprise guest arrived!  Madison made a comeback!

All four kids got to decorate some of Aunt Lyndsie's cookies.  Such a neat activity.

They worked hard...

and even got to sample their work afterwards.  Yummy!

Madison's ornament may not have been quite as professional as Lyndsie's, but she impressed us all!

After our bellies were full of beef tenderloin, it was finally time for presents. 
This little lady could hardly wait any longer!

From make-up to monogrammed shirts to cameras and personalized stationary, there were so many great gifts.

I was really excited to give Scott and Lyndsie a gift certificate for the 3D/4D sonogram and a picture frame to go with it.  Baby Connor will be here so soon!

Wrapping paper just kept flying--no wonder it was hard to keep up with who gave what to who!

Cami took this picture of me and Lila--she did so good!

We ended the night with a game.  Catch Phrase was a big hit with the adults and kids.  So great!
