Shimmer and Shine

Years!  This little lady has been waiting for years to be in her very own performance. 

Last week her time had finally come.

She walked into Shimmer and Shine Dance Camp with her head held high.

Every morning she could not wait to get her backpack on, filled with dance shoes, and out the door.

She loved everything about it--the dance leotards, dance shoes, sweet dance teachers.
 It was most certainly her cup of tea.

But Friday was by far her most exciting day.  How come?  It was performance day!  She was so excited about it that she even made two phone calls the night before and invited all her grandparents to the show.  She said, "Hi Gigi/Memaw, would you like to come to my dance performance tomorrow?  It's at 12:00 at Edge Dance."  There was no way they could say no to that!

We filled up both front rows in the studio and this little girl did not disappoint!

She tapped her way through the first routine...

then moved on to a graceful ballet.

She had the biggest smile on her face the whole time.  They did two more routines, jazz and hip-hop, and she loved every minute of it.  Truth be told, we did too.

Ashlyn was one of her teachers and was super sweet to her all week.

It meant the world to our littlest lady to have the support of the ones she looks up to the most.

She was beaming from ear to ear.  And so were her two beautiful grandmothers.
Dance on my tiny dancer!  We cannot wait to watch you in your next grand performance.
