This summer we are trying our darndest to slow down. I'm not sure we are succeeding all that much, but we are making an effort. Case in point, it's Monday morning and we do not have anywhere to be. No camps. No activities. Nothing on our calendar today. So guess who is still sleeping at 9:27 am?

You got it. This lovely lady! A girl needs her beauty rest, after all, so that she can be ready for impromptu photo shoots. It's amazing how willing she was to pose when it was her idea! |
| We are getting in lots of time with the family, too, and enjoyed being together for Andrew's birthday. Sidenote--this photo was not Cameron's idea:) |
| Having a more open schedule allowed us to say yes when the Pointers invited us over for Movie Night a few weeks ago. The kids got to play dress up... |
| go for rides in the Barbie carriage... |
| hold cute babies... |
| and play volleyball... |
| all before it was time to watch The Cat in the Hat in the backyard. So cool! |
| The next day, we opted out of going to Skills Day with Jackson's team, and instead had lunch at Chocolate Angel. It was Cami's first time there and she felt so grown up! |
| Her big sister was the perfect example of how to behave like a little lady. |
After lunch, Memaw, Cami, Lila and I made our way to the Plaza Theater to watch Finley in Willy Wonka. |
| It was such a cute performance and she was the most precious Oompa Loompa. |
| Way to go, Finley! |
| While I love watching my oldest play his favorite sport, July is not the most enjoyable time to do so. However, when they play in Lewisville and we get to go to Hula Hut for lunch, I get very excited! |
| The boys didn't have the best day on the field, but hanging out for a few hours at this cool Austin original was fantastic. |
| It was even next door to a wakeboarding park, which entertained them for a long time after lunch. Such a nice bonus for them and all the parents! |
| And finally, this. Her brother pitched a great game, but his team still lost. Win or lose, she is always the first one to give him a post-game hug. This night, she held his hand all the way to the car... |
and then sat in his lap for most of dinner. They are two peas in a pod, for sure! And I just love them to pieces. |
