Bringing Sexy Back!

My present for Mother's Day was simply the best--tickets to see Justin Timberlake in concert over Memorial Day weekend!!!  It was a dream come true.

We went to dinner with Suzanne and Justin and then headed over to the AAC for the big show.

Holy moly, he did NOT disappoint!  The show was amazing from start to finish.

Justin!  He's so talented and entertaining to watch!

We could not have had a more fun night.  We danced and sang along to every song and did our best to bring sexy back, if just for one night.  Thanks, babe, for the best gift ever!

Adventures in Babysitting

We got the pleasure of babysitting Connor for the first time a few weeks ago.  It was pure greatness and we adored every minute of it.

This little guy was happy from the very beginning!

All hands were on deck and there was no shortage of "little mamas" to hold him.

He was so happy being upstairs...

just chatting with me and his cousins. How precious is this baby boy?!

After a short nap in my arms, Cami fed him dinner.
She'd make such a fabulous big sister, but this will have to do:)
Baby profile!

We changed his diaper, put his jammies on...

visited a little more...

and then it was time for snuggles and bed.  The sweetness factor was through the roof.
We just love you, Connor Wesley Hays!

Movie Mania Field Day

Jackson's last Field Day ever!  The 5th graders kicked things off with a pep rally to welcome the Kindergarteners.  The music was loud and the excitement was palpable.

As each little kid went through this tunnel of fun, they were greeted by their 5th grade buddy.  Then, they went outside to enjoy the 50 games--it's a true carnival!

Lila and her crew were in the morning session as well.  They started off in the group games, like tug-of-war...

and then moved on to the inflatables inside the gym...

which, lucky for us, was our station!  Did you catch that?  We got to be in the A/C!!!

These girls had a total blast doing relay games,

individual games,

races,

and all sorts of partner games.

A few hours later, it was Jackson's time to return without his Kinder buddy.  This time, he and Corbin were all about moving through Field Day as efficiently as possible.

They did all the relays and were almost finished with the games when a storm rolled in.
No worries--snow cones in the cafeteria!  Cheers to a fun-filled day--these kids LOVE Field Day!

Summer Break for Cami

Little Miss Cameron had a fantastic year at North Star.  She was having so much fun that somehow the last week of school completely snuck up on us.
She had game day on Monday, followed by water day on Wednesday.  How fun is it to wear your swimsuit to school?  Pretty awesome when you're four!

The next night was their preschool performance.  She found Mallory right away...

and the silly antics began!

Then she saw Zoey, her favorite friend in Mrs. A's class.  So precious.

The kids sang some adorable songs, but my favorite part was when Cami spotted us in the audience.  She got the biggest smile on her face and waved without hesitation.  I just love her.

Maybe the most exciting part of the night, though, was when Daddy won the class mascot in the silent auction!

We have always been outbid in years past, but we got Angus this time!
Bye bye, North Star!  See you in the fall.

Angels win it all!

This was Lila's break-out season in softball.  She hadn't played since last spring, so we had no idea what to expect.  While she finally figured out how to make contact with the ball last season, I wouldn't really classify her as a power hitter.  She started this season batting 7th in the line-up.  She quickly moved up the ranks, though, once the coach saw how much she had improved.

By the 6th game, Lila was our lead-off hitter!  Let's go #12!

Her base-running took off as well.

This kid uses her head to run the bases and is speedy quick, too.  A heckuva combination.

As if that weren't enough improvement for one season, her reflexes for fielding got so much better.  She played pitcher a good amount of time, and made lots of outs at first base, unless the lead runner was going to 3rd or home, in which case, she got them there.  This kid's baseball IQ is top notch and impressed all of us every single game.

The Angels finished the season undefeated, winning every regular season league game and then running the table during the post-season tournament.  Yeehaw!

Way to go Lila Grace!!!

Biggest trophy in our house.  For real.

Angels are #1.

I love their spunk.  Such a fun group.

We loved watching Lila play all season...

and so did Memaw and Poppi.

We celebrated with BBQ and ice cream--Lila's choice! Her smile says it all.
So proud of her.

Most Handsome

For real--is Maverick not the most handsome dog ever?!

It amazes me that this pound puppy is so gorgeous.  His eyes are stunning and he just has the best coloring.  The judges are unanimous.  Maverick wins Most Handsome!

Sporty Spices

My girlies do love some athletic endeavors, but they love getting all dolled up as well.
We had dance photos for Cami...

while Lila and her soccer team were busy playing in their last tournament game.  They got second place and were super excited that they got medals and the big trophy, too.

Since I'm the team manager, Lila got to bring home the trophy.  That might be the only bonus to that job, but I'll take it.  Go me!

Lila arrived at dance just in time to see Cameron in her ballet costume.
I can take credit for her hair and make-up, but the pose is all her own doing!

Dancing darlings--I just love these two.

Later that afternoon, we went to Lila's softball game to cheer on the Angels.  Someone was pretty pumped that she got to show up in make-up.

From there, we went straight to Madison's volleyball game and then back to the studio so I could do her hair and make-up.  I know I'm biased, but she's going to be the prettiest hip-hop dancer on that stage!

I mean, just look at those dimples.  To. die. for.

The recital is coming up this weekend and we can hardly wait.  I know Cami and Maddie are going to shine so brightly up on that stage.
