My two guys

Jared and Jackson before going to church today. I was getting Jackson dressed while Jared was getting ready in our room. Little did we know they were both wearing pretty much the same outfit! Look how well they coordinate--navy blue shirts, khaki pants and brown shoes. It was too cute not to have a photo op.

A side note; Jared put a little bit of his cologne on Jackson before we left. I told him that just wasn't fair...Jackson's already quite the ladies man. That just gives him such an unfair advantage over all the other little boys in the nursery!

Happy 60th Ma and Pa!

Jared's grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past Thursday. All of us went to Fort Worth to help them celebrate and had a really nice time.

Congratulations Ma and Pa! Jared and I really look up to both of you. What a shining example y'all have been for your family. When we asked them if they had any tips for a successful marriage they said, "always keep your sense of humor." I think that's pretty good advice.

Jared's Aunt Carolyn had this cake made to replicate Ma and Pa's china. It was so pretty and very tasty, too:) Jackson was the cake's #1 fan I think! He somehow convinced me, his Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Andrew to all give him some cake.

Movin' on up

Jackson had his last class of the semester at The Little Gym earlier this week. He is no longer a Bird...starting this Thursday, he will be a Beast. We are very excited about this promotion and looking forward to many more fun-filled times, especially since Aunt Colleen may be his new teacher. She started working at the gym a few weeks ago--we hope she gets assigned to teach his class!

Climbing up and over some aparatus.

Making a basket from the air-track--one of his favorite activities.

Posing for a class picture...I'm actually holding him on the podium b/c he just didn't really feel like sitting still for more than half a second!

Showing off his well deserved ribbon. Hooray Jackson!

Super-sized playdate!

Today we had a really fun playdate with lots of friends. We hung out inside for a while with Taylor and her two girls and Monica and her two boys. Then we headed outside for some fun in the sun...or should I say clouds? It actually made it much more enjoyable to be outside:)

Here are Jackson and Presley deciding who should get to hold the puppy dog. It does back flips and they thought that was pretty cool. Shoot, I think it's pretty cool, too.

Carole and Jennifer brought their kids over to play, too. Here we all our, minus me, April, and baby Levi. He was so good and sat in the swing outside while his big brother played.

Jackson and Judah playing with the watertable. What a great idea--thanks mom for getting it! The kids loved it.

While the boys were playing with the water table, the Pointer sisters were busy cruising around the pool. How cute! Thanks everyone for coming over to see us. We'll have to do it again soon.

Aloha Hawaii

We finally made it! Jared and I have been talking about taking a trip to Hawaii for what seems like forever! We decided to go for it and I'm so glad we did. What an amazing place. I had never been. If you haven't either, make sure it's on your short list of places to visit!

Right after we got off the plane in Honolulu--aren't those such pretty leis? They're real flowers, too!

On the beach the first night with Diamond Head in the background

Dinner at Duke's--good food and a great location. It also happened to be in our hotel, so that was an added bonus:)

A whole 5 years! We celebrated our anniversary the second day we were in Hawaii. Could it get any more romantic?

Having fun on Waikiki Beach..not a bad way to spend your day

At the Paradise Cove luau

Our surf instructor, Donavan. Surfing was so cool and not nearly as hard as I thought it would be!

Our bartender, Marnie. He can make some mean Bahama Mamas!

Sunset in Waikiki

Kilueau lighthouse

Kayaking up the Waimea River

Hiking up to Hidden Falls

Dinner at Cafe Portofino--what a view!

Getting ready for our helicopter ride. No, those are not fanny packs...they're floatation devices:) Stylish, huh?

View of the Na Pali Coast from inside the chopper

Enjoying some time on Poipu Beach

The Na Pali Coast expedition--our favorite part of Kauai

Troy, our guide on the Na Pali Coast expedition. He told Jared, "man, the hardest decision I have to make today is whether to go fishing or surfing after I get off work this afternoon." That's the life.

Pulihale State Park Beach. AKA the biggest beach we have EVER seen! It was 17 miles long and probably 200 yards deep. Un-be-lievable.

Having fun on the lava flow slide.

Sunbathing in the shallow sand bottom pool

Wailua Falls

Us in front of the falls. Our last day we drove around a lot because we had a bunch of time to kill. We saw a few waterfalls and many beautiful scenic overlooks, went souvenir shopping and then ended up back at our hotel for dinner at a drink. What a perfect way to end a perfect trip. Hawaii, we miss you!

They grow up so fast...

Here are a few cute pictures of Jackson and his cousin, Madison. They are both growing up so fast. Jackson will be 18 months on the 17th and Madison will be 4 months old on the same day. It's hard to believe my baby is actually a little boy now!

Madison and her Aunt--I love how she is looking right at the camera!

Jackson holding her hand...so sweet

Jackson being "the baby" and enjoying some time in the swing

Posing together after a good afternoon nap.

Jackson sporting a mohawk, thanks to his daddy:)

I'm still here!

As most of you know, Jared and I just took an anniversary trip to Hawaii. We were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary--crazy that it's already been that long! We had a fantastic time and cannot wait to go back again some day. Anyway, when we got back from our trip our computer was dead. Kaput, finished, sianara. Anyway, that's the reason I haven't got to post anything in a while. We got a new computer a few days ago, so as soon as I get the camera software loaded onto it, I'll be able to post some pics. Stay tuned...
