This is How We Roll

Sports and Birthday Parties--that's our gig these days.  And you know what?  Is it tiring?  Yeah, sometimes.  But it's so great, too.  Our weekends are full cheering on our kids at their favorite sports and spending time with our friends.  That's pretty good, if you ask me.

Saturday morning began by watching College Game Day.  We are trying to explain to Jackson why college football is so much more exciting than pro football.  He doesn't get it just yet, but after we take him to a TX/OU game, he might start to come around.  For now, he's got to be content with cheering on the Horns from our living room.  They started out pretty good, but then couldn't hang.  Bummer.  We were loving it while they were playing well, though!

After Lion King practice, it was time to kick off the Bumblebees season.  The Bees had two kids out of town, one was sick, and four more had a conflict.  We thought that those four were going to play some of our game, but only two showed up.  No worries, the Bees had it all under control.  They jumped on the other team early and by the end of the 3rd quarter it was 8-0.  Maddie and Brooke had to leave, though, which left the team to play with only five girls.  It was 7 against 5 for the entire 4th quarter.  Not only did our girls not let the other team score, they even managed to get one more goal!  These five little girls showed their coach what they are made of--Rock Stars! 

All of us were SO proud of Lila and her little team.  She got her first goal in a long time, too!
She scored it all the way past mid-field--it was a monster kick!

A few hours later we were on to our next stop on the party circuit.  Jackson went to Kai's swim party, and the rest of us went to Brooklynn's house for a disco party.

We got to see the boys enjoying Kai's new pool when we came back later that night.

We went to the early service at church on Sunday morning, then ran to Madison's soccer game.  Blue Thunder is legit and we love seeing #17 play.

Madison played some tough defense in the first half and then moved up to center-mid during the second half.

These girls won 5-1 and were all smiles afterwards.  Go BT!

Madison's youngest fan was one of the first to tell her "good job!" after it was over.

Less than an hour later, we were at a different field watching Lila play again.  This time they had more competition.  Look at the size difference!  Lila beat her friend to the ball...

kicked it through her legs...

controlled it...

then began dribbling it towards our goal.

Go Lila!

The Bees won 7-1 and Coach Jared told them how proud he was of their ball skills, spacing and passing.  They are all improving and sticking their nose in the game.  So cool to see.

Eight of the twelve girls all go to school together.  I'd say these Hunt Hounds are a force!

We only had time to get Lila a quick shower before heading out to our next event.  Colby's birthday party at Metroplex Gymnastics.  Cami was all about it, too.  She still can't believe that Baby Colby turned 2!  She played in the pit...

and played in the pit lots more. Little Mama Lila was there helping Colby the whole time.  

She did get to do the big slide...

and zipline, though!  So fun.

Then they had pizza and cupcakes, which were good...

but the main attraction might have been Baby Josie.  Cami was in heaven!

 and Lila was, too.  They are both so sweet with her and would love to just take her home with us!

 Alas, we could not take Josie with us--we had a ball game to get to.  Go Bubba!  

We watched his team scrimmage the Redhawks.  They won big time--14-3.  

While Cameron loves cheering for her brother, she simply couldn't take her eyes off of her new friend Dexter.  She played with him almost the whole game!  Her daddy is now convinced that we need a new dog.  Heaven help me.

Our weekend came to an end with dinner at Frankie's.  
Thank goodness for their cold beverages--we had earned our margaritas!
