BFFs

Cami has met her twin!  Miss Mallory is just one year older and is so similar to Cameron that it's scary.  She is such an outgoing, smart, fun-loving kid, who loves to dance and sing.  It's no wonder that Cami has proclaimed that she is her new best friend.

We went to see the tulips at Dallas Blooms at the Arboretum.

Happy girls!

Sweet Matthew met us there first, and brought his sweet mama with him.

Then two more cuties joined us as well--Miss Samantha and one of her BFFs.

It was a great day to spend outdoors, enjoying the flowers and all the koi fish everywhere.

Cami and Sami loved the water fountains, too.

Mallory and Cameron found a "secret garden" and were so happy to lead me to it.
They were right--it was beautiful!

I just love this child.  She's everything I ever wished I could be.  Super smart and so hilarious!

After exploring more little rivers...

we headed over to the lake for scenic spot to have our picnic lunch.

Then it was playtime--Cami inside a giant egg:)

Two peas in a pod!

The gigantic treehouse is always a favorite...

as is climbing on the enormous ant.
Such a fun day spent with some fabulous friends!

We're going to the Zoo--how about you?!

My name was drawn to be a chaperone for the 2nd grade field trip the Dallas Zoo.  That meant I got to spend lots of time with these girls...starting on the bus!

While these girls were all very well behaved, the hour and a half long bus ride almost did me in!

We finally made it though!  Giants of the Savannah were up first.

The elephants are some of my favorites.  This time, we even got to see two of them fight a little bit!

Any day with this kid is a good day.  I just adore her.

We fed the giraffes...

and just enjoyed being around them.  They are such majestic animals.

The cheetah is another fave.

This guy stared us down from inside his enclosure!

We saw the crocodiles...

and orangutans...

and then made our way to the new Hippp Exhibit.

We could see them so well from up above!

After lunch, we ran into two of the boys' groups.  You can tell they all were thrilled:)

We ended up letting the kids play in the children's zoo before we had to hop back on our trusty yellow school bus.

All kids and parents were accounted for--another successful field trip is in the books.
Cheers to a fun day at the zoo!

We celebrated Easter a day early this year at Memaw and Poppi's house.

Memaw bought the cutest bundt cake, already decorated for the special occasion.

One of the main attractions was sweet Baby Connor.

So say he was a hit would be an understatement!
The kids loved holding him, but knew there were lots of eggs waiting for them in the backyard.

Let's do this!

They take egg hunting very seriously.

Get those eggs!

After scouring the entire backyard a few times...

they were finally convinced they had found them all.  A few of them may have stolen eggs out of other's baskets...but no real harm was done:)

Back inside, Connor was still as cute as ever (love his little bunny tail!), and the food was almost ready.

Madison is so good with him.

Lyndsie's mom was in town for a few weeks, and was trying to soak up every last minute before heading back to CA the next morning.
Laid back, enjoying a snooze with Poppi.

The next morning, the kids woke up to fun easter baskets and then we got ready for church.

The kids wore their Sunday best.  My favorite was Jackson's new tie:)

We met some of our friends at Lake Pointe and the kids took their seats in front of us.  I began silently praying for good behavior throughout the service.  Thank goodness, it worked!

Happy Easter, everyone!  He is Risen!

We went to brunch at Fernando's, which was beyond good, and then had another egg hunt at home.

Some eggs were up high, some were almost out of reach...

but one thing was for sure...

there were plenty to go around!

Hooray for 100 more eggs!
