Cabo 2015! Boat Ride. The Office. Salvatore's.

We awoke on next day of vacation to some cloudy, overcast skies.  No worries. It was the perfect weather for doing our very first Beach Yoga class.  No sun in your eyes, just a nice ocean breeze on your body.  Oh my word.  I love Cabo San Lucas!

My goal is to have one of these at least every other year.

After yoga and breakfast, we got ready to head to the marina.  We found our chartered pontoon boat easily and all got on.  We only had it for two hours, but that came with a stocked cooler, as well as snorkeling equipment for everyone.

Ahoy, mateys!

As we were getting ready to push away from the dock, this little guy came to say hello.  Just your friendly sea lion taking a swim in the marina.  He was so cute:)

Per our captain's request, everyone put on their life jackets.  Safety first!

I love boats.  Especially gigantic ones like Kismet.  This baby was suave.

For only $1.5 million, this too can be yours for a week in Cabo.  One week!

Once we were out of the marina, lifejackets were not required any more.  Go figure!  Does make for a prettier picture, though.  Our captain first took us to see all the fish near the snorkeling area.

We were at the very end of the Sea of Cortez.
On the other side of this little beach is the Pacific Ocean.

"Hello Pacific!"  This is called the Window to the World.  So cool.

Love this crew!

And especially love this guy.  A lot.  A whole lot.

As we were heading out to the big ocean, we got up close to some sea lions.

Then we found the daddy one out alone on his perch!  I wonder how he got up there to begin with?  He was so sleepy, just dozing on his island bed.

The pictures don't do this place justice.  It was gorgeous--even Divorce Beach!

The Arch of Cabo San Lucas.

We rode around for about an hour...

before our guide dropped us off at Honeymoon Beach.  It's been a long time since we were honeymooners, but we'll take it!
If there's a snorkel around, we must take our picture with it.
Our first time snorkeling together was on our honeymoon, over 12 years ago:)

We had this little beach mostly to ourselves...

and the water was surprisingly warm--bonus!

Around noon we got back in the boat and headed towards our next destination--lunch at The Office.  It's the restaurant on the beach with the blue umbrellas.
We had heard this was a fun place and it certainly did not disappoint.
They had good margaritas and mariachis, too--the perfect combo.

Adam was brave enough to try the just-caught-an-hour-before Red Snapper.  They knew he was hungry, so they went ahead and brought him the whole fish.
Cheers to good friends!
Feeling good and ready find Cabo Wabo.

After a little walking tour around the town, we finally found Cabo Wabo. We had a Waborita to celebrate the occasion.  Tasty!

We ended the night with dinner at Salvatore's to celebrate Adam and Hayley's 10 Year Anniversary.  The food was awesome and the company was even better.
Another fantastic day in paradise.

Cabo 2015! Pool. Beach. Hacienda.

In other words, perfection.

We woke up on Wednesday morning just before the sun started coming over the horizon.

Good morning, world!

By 7am we were ready for our Pilates class.  The first time I've done a class while on vacation and I loved it.  A cool way to start the day.

After a hearty breakfast, the hubs and I got ready to hit the pool.  It had finally started to sink in--yep, we're really here!

Poolside and happy as can be:)

Emily got roped into the cold pool--brrr!

Hayley and I stayed put on the edge, though.

Seriously, that water was freezing!

After a little while, we decided to go eat some fish tacos by the ocean...

then we hopped in the other big pool to make Matt's dream come true...

"Hello, Swim-Up Bar!"

After enjoying our drink in the pool, we headed out to the beach to find Price and Taylor.

I think they may be onto something with this beach bed thing.

We spent the afternoon relaxing and looking out at the Pacific Ocean.

It was so perfect.

The water was beautiful and the sand felt good between our toes.

The only reason we left was to get ready for dinner.  This guy cleans up well!

We arrived at Hacienda at 5:40...

right before the sun set completely.  The sky was painted pink!  Gorgeous!

Our table overlooked the water and we had my favorite meal of the trip.  The Mexican food was amazing, from the simmering queso to the stuffed shrimp.  SO GOOD!
It's in my top 5 restaurants of all time.  Yes, it really was that incredible.

We got back to our resort just in time to see some a little fireworks show.
The perfect way to end an awesome day.
Cabo, we love you.

Cabo 2015! Hola Mexico!

This has been a trip 2 years in the making.  Hayley came up with the idea to celebrate her 10th wedding anniversary in a big way.  We brainstormed ideas, researched like crazy, talked to our friends and asked them endless questions.  Why?  It's simple--we had to find the perfect spot.  And guess what?  We did it!  Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is our new favorite beach vacation.

I booked us on a private shuttle for our transportation to and from the airport.  It was only $10 more per person, so I said "sure thing" when the guy asked if we wanted the upgrade.  I had no idea that we would be getting a stretch Suburban Limo!  Sweet!!!

Riding in style:)

A mere 45 minutes later we had arrived at the Pueblo Bonito Resort and Spa.  While the guys checked in at the front desk, we just took in the incredible views.  We made it girls!

We all had rooms with good views of the ocean, pool and beach.

We immediately spotted those beach beds in the distance and put that on our short list.

After a quick change, we met Matt and Emily at the pool.  Let the party begin...but first, we sort of needed a nap.  It's so much work getting three kids and a dog all squared away to leave for a few days!  I was exhausted.  Thank goodness we had come to the right place.

After a little while, my sanity began to return.  There were no children asking me to do anything for them.  No one was crying or whining or in desperate need of a snack.  In a word, it was refreshing!  Seriously, a nice breather.  I got to talk to this guy and wasn't interrupted at all.  Not once!

We decided to check out the beach next, but stopped by the pool bar first.

Crab Alert!  Price caught this little guy pretty easily.  All we could think was, "the kids would love this!"  Ok, so maybe we missed them a little.

Such big eyes!

The waves were so big on our beach--very cool to watch!  It didn't bother us one bit that we couldn't get in to swim.  The temp was only about 83 degrees--perfection.

We stayed until the sun set and then walked back to get ready for dinner.

Dinner time at Siempre!  This crew cleaned up nicely:)

While we waited for our table, the boys bellied up to the bar.

Our vacation was off to a very good start...and it only got better from there!

Fury Baseball

Baseball season is over.  Until February!  The Fury wrapped up their season yesterday.  They have come such a long way in a really short time.  After only a few tournaments this fall, they won in Triple Creek and got bumped up to AAA baseball.  The competition got a little more stout, but these kids hung in there every time.
Jackson has loved learning third base and short stop.

We also got a new kid who is one heckuva catcher--J especially likes when he pitches to Connor.

This girl has been a really good sport on always cheering for her big brother.
It amazes me how much she has absorbed about baseball, too!

We loved getting to play at Big League Dreams in Mansfield.

Even with the ball coming in so close, the kid still didn't slide!  Thank goodness he was safe!

Gigi was a HUGE help with Cameron this season.  She usually ran back and forth between me and her Gigi.  That smile says it all--she adores her.  I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual.

All of us enjoyed watching Jackson improve this season as a pitcher.  He handled the pressure so well and did his job on the mound, showing his coaches and teammates that they could always count on him.

The kid can bring the heat!

I love watching this boy play his favorite sport.  Love it.  We were still in Mexico this Saturday for the first two games of the State Tournament.  He never pitches on Saturday, though, so he told me it wasn't a big deal.  But alas, his coach changed his mind and Jackson was the starting pitcher for the first game.  We were getting game updates as we were packing to come home and I actually had tears in my eyes because I couldn't stand not being there for him.  He did awesome, holding the team to one run, though!

The Fury boys won that game and I got this picture as we were almost to the airport.
Jackson's smile is so big--he was pumped and so were we!

The boys lost early on Sunday and that was the end of their season. It's been full of ups and downs and we really love the families who we have gotten to know.  So many great people and fantastic coaches, too!  We will be ready to play ball again his spring, but I will enjoy my Friday nights and weekends doing other things until then!
