We are LOVING this nice, fall weather! Hooray for 75 degrees! We took Jackson to Firewheel mall last night and really enjoyed strolling around. He had so much fun in the little play area.
One of the big boys on the train
Arggghhh! He loves climbing through tunnels and hollering while he does it.
Hi Dad!
Such a silly goose--wearing Gran Gran's reading glasses today...he's also sporting beads. He likes to put as many on as possible. Go figure.
Such the cool cat in Aunt Colleen's sunglasses, and yes, he is in Madison's exersaucer. She was napping at the time, so we thought it was ok. It actually kept him stationary for a few minutes, which was so nice.
This afternoon Jared asked me to rub his shoulders for a few minutes. Of course, Jackson saw it as an opportunity to "help" me out and jumped in on the action immediately. He literally came running across the room and grabbed onto his daddy's shoulders.
It was time for Madison to have her bottle the other night and Jackson told us that he wanted to give it to her. So we let him:) He really impressed me!
He climbed up on the couch and got situated, then we laid Madison in his lap. She wasn't sure what was going on, but as soon as she saw that bottle everything was just hunky dorey with her.
that my child only ate cheetos for lunch today? He did have a nice lunch of spaghetti o's ahead of him, but he dumped them all on the kitchen floor when he decided to unlatch the highchair tray. Bummer. After that all I could get him to eat was cheetos. I agree, they are mighty delicious. After he ate about half he started putting them back in the bag. This would have all been well and good except for the fact that he would bite off part of the cheeto and then put the other half in the bag. Not so appetizing after that.
Is it bad that he had to amuse himself with an empty diaper box? He had a good old time getting in and out of this contraption. Now, he only has about 50 toys to play with, but for some reason none of them were near as enticing as the box. Go figure....
We spent the holiday weekend in Charleston, South Carolina for the first annual get-together with Jared's college friends. We stayed at a beach house with two other couples and really enjoyed our time there. There were 9 adults, two kids and one more that will make his appearance very soon. Here are some highlights from the weekend.
Right after we got there it was time to hit the pool. Here we are with Turner and Bethany. Both boys really liked the pool:)
After a good lunch--Jackson looks so grown up to me in this pic.
Jared and his buddies just chillin' in the pool.
Jackson (with his mop) and Jared with the Denning boys and Bell boys (Brian and Jen are having a baby in two months).
Jackson showing off his new clubs.
Playing peek-a-boo behind the curtains
Jackson chasing Jared on the beach
Catching a ride from his daddy
Enjoying a boat ride in the harbor
The whole gang on the boat.
After dinner one night--Jackson refused to look at the camera because he was so intrigued with the man singing outside on the patio.
Playing in the sprinkler
Flying his first kite
Lounging for a few seconds with me on this awesome float
Jumping off to his dada...I think he did this at least 30 times! Jared was worn out!
The pool scene
Dinner at the Boat Shack...some great seafood. Why does it taste so much better when you're at the ocean?
Strolling around King Street for a little bit of shopping before we left.
We had such a great time. Thanks again, Dennings, for hosting everyone. Can't wait to do it again next year:)
