Sunday morning we awoke to another beautiful day.
It is hard to be anything but happy when this is your view.
| The whole reason we got this exact condo was because of this view--I love it! |
| These two early birds were the first kids up. They had breakfast... |
| and then went outside to play with Dad and Lila. |
By 10am all of us were on the beach.
Happiness right here--my favorite place with my best girls and boys. |
| Being able to share this time with good friends made it even more amazing. |
| All of the moms thought these coordinating monogrammed swimsuits were simply too cute. The kids didn't share the love, though! And making them take a picture in them? Carter and Cameron were not having any of it! |
| The only kid missing was Baby Matthew, who was upstairs napping. Love these 11 Beach Bums. |
| The girls and I couldn't get over just how postcard perfect the beach was that day. |
| The big kids immediately jumped in and began riding the waves. |
| Cowabunga, dude! |
| Cameron's daddy helped her jump the waves, too. She squealed with delight every single time. |
| One of the best parts about our beach was that it was really shallow for a long way out into the water. You can see at least half of our group soaking up the waves and sun. Perfection. |
| Since we were so close to the sandbar area, the adults were able to enjoy some shaded umbrella time, too. Always a bonus! |
| We played in the water... |
| made lots of things in the sand... |
| and just enjoyed being with our friends. |
| Love her. |
| The three snaggletooths--sweet friends with precious smiles:) |
| After lunch in the condo, Mr. Price read the two youngest some books. |
| Everyone else went back down to the beach. I read a good book on our patio while Cami was napping. Finally, a little ME TIME! |
| Cameron wasn't thrilled about going back to the beach that afternoon, but we finally made it. It was good to see all of these smiling faces. |
| My boys! |
| The very first time we took the kids to the beach, we had a photo just like this. Lila was two, Maddie was four and Jackson was five. They look so giant these days! |
| We chilled at the beach until late that afternoon. |
| Then our party of 20 hit the pool. There were shoulder stands, flips and all sorts of good times. |
| Jackson and Price even perfected the "no hands shoulder stand." Impressive! |
| And as much as they enjoyed the ocean, these goofballs maybe loved the pool a little bit more. It was nice to rinse off and not get salt water in your eyes, but I'll still take the beach any day of the week. |
| That evening marked the first of many crab hunting expeditions. The seven kids of C105 were always ready to catch some crabs! |
| Crab Alert! Crab Alert! |
Over the years we've learned that it's much easier to use headlights than to carry flashlights. These kids were ready this year. |
| And they caught so many crabs every single night! It was one of their very favorite activities, and if fact, Cami still asks all the time if we can go crab hunting again. Next year, my sweet:) |
